How To Become a Better Storyteller

Storytelling is a powerful tool for engaging an audience and sending across a powerful message. It has been used since ancient times to share cultural histories, to teach important lessons, and even to entertain. A good storyteller can capture the attention of their listeners, draw them in and leave them wanting more.
Becoming a better storyteller is a skill that takes practice. Here are some tips to get you started:
1/ Identify your audience
Knowing who your audience is and what you want them to take away from the story will help you craft the narrative to ensure that it resonates with them.
2/ Get creative
Don't be afraid to use different storytelling techniques such as using props, sound effects or metaphors to bring the story alive, especially during a coaching session.
3/ Practice
The more you practice telling your stories, the better you'll get. Rehearse in front of a mirror or friends and family to become more comfortable with your delivery.
4/ Focus on the details
Make sure you focus on all the little details of your story when you tell it. This will help make your story more engaging and memorable for your audience.
5/ Show enthusiasm
Put some energy into your storytelling to really draw in your listeners!
6/ Be confident
Believe in yourself and have faith that your story will make an impact on your audience.

What Are The Pros and Cons of Using Linktree on Social Media?
Linktree is an easy way to create a landing page experience for all of your relevant links to share with your social media following. Before you dive into a Linktree account, there are some things you should keep in mind.
Pros
You can place all of your links in a clean interface for social media, without building a full website.
Linktree offers analytics (views and clicks) so you can track basic engagement.
Cons
If you want more customization, you’ll need to pay for a Linktree PRO account.
By sending people to Linktree, you aren’t sending them to your website.
You’re missing out on increasing your SEO page rank if you have everyone just going to a Linktree.
Having too many links may prevent people from clicking to your main call of action which may just be your website.
So is Linktree Pro worth it?
Linktree offers quite a few different packages: Free, Starter, Pro, and Premium. For $9/month you can collect emails, phone numbers, embed YouTube videos, hide the Linktree logo, have more comprehensive analytics, and more. So do I think that the paid-for plans are worth it? It depends.
If you are driving people to Linktree to capture email addresses to build a an email list, or want more in-depth analytics, it may just be worth it.

What have been some of the best learning experiences so far as a coach?
One of the best learning experiences I can share is to continue showing up for yourself (and your business), even if you aren't signing new clients. Keep sharing and promoting your program, and the clients will eventually reach out to you.
What's your most important skill you've learned for coaching?
Listening! I find that so often as coaches, we are quick to give our clients advice. Sometimes, before even sharing advice or strategies, really take the time to listen to your clients' journey to understand what they best need to get to where they want to go.
What makes a good coach in your opinion?
I believe a good coach is supportive, empathetic, but can also be honest and open with their clients. Ultimately, a good coach helps their clients feel empowered to make the choices needed to achieve their desired results.
How do you deal with a difficult client?
First, I try to remind myself that everyone is trying their best. When a client is difficult, I listen to their feedback. At times, they may have a valid concern or a suggestion as to how I can improve our coaching program. Other times, difficult clients are often going through a difficult life situation, so I try to give them space to process whatever they need - I listen and ask how I can best help support them.
What advice would you have for other coaches getting started?
Be consistent! The only way you will be successful as a coach is to be consistent - send emails to your list regularly, update your blog regularly, post on social media regularly. The only way potential clients will notice you is if you are consistent.
What are some growth strategies that have done well for you in the past? Marketing, Social Media, etc...?
I send a weekly email to my email list offering free recipes, workouts, weight loss tips, etc. I also post on social media daily. I find that networking and connecting with referral partners and offering current clients a referral incentive also helps our business grow.
